Artist's Description
This piece was created in 2012, during my time in Portland, Oregon. It is reflective of my inspiration for landscape painting and Deep Ecology theory. The original has a custom glass frame and double matting. This was created as a rough sketch on gessoed paper, without the pressure of a big blank canvas. I believe it allowed me the freedom to express the essence of my memory and the feel through looser more fluid brushwork without pressure and expectation.
This is what I consider one of my best paintings.
About Whitney Palmer
Born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. Graduated from University of Oregon with a B.A. degree in Art in 2007. Elements of the divine, Nature, deep ecology, imagination and humor influence my work.
